About Cameron Mouton

Cameron Mouton is a 24-year-old Afro-Latina writer, editor, and media professional from Los Angeles, California. Her passion for language and storytelling began at the age of four and has since evolved into a career rooted in literary and media excellence. By 16, she passed the California High School Proficiency Exam and graduated early. She earned her Associate’s Degree in English from Los Angeles Valley College by 18, and later completed her B.A. in American Literature and Culture with a minor in African American Studies at UCLA.

Cameron is the author of Mixed, a debut collection of poetry and prose written during the COVID-19 pandemic. Alongside her creative work, she brings extensive experience in editorial production, accessibility, and post-production workflows. From 2022 to 2024, she served as a Subtitling Content Specialist and Post Processing Supervisor at Pixelogic Media, where she created high-precision subtitles for major studios including Apple, Disney, Warner Bros., and Amazon.

She has also held multiple editorial positions:

– Book Review Editor and Contributor at The Festival Review
– English Teaching Assistant at Los Angeles Valley College

In all roles, Cameron brings a keen editorial eye, a commitment to accessibility, and fluency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and captioning software.

Cameron is deeply dedicated to amplifying marginalized voices—particularly LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and women’s narratives. She draws on both personal and academic experiences to advocate for authentic representation in media and literature. As an editor and creative, her mission is to preserve the integrity of the stories she helps bring to life.
